We have helped our client Novarama obtain investment from top Chinese game developer Tencent. This has been done through the acquisition of a stake in this Spanish game studio. Based in Barcelona, Novarama is currently working on an unannounced, multi-platform MMO. The company was established in 2003 and worked exclusively with Sony for over a decade on the Invizimals franchise for PSP, PS Vita, and PlayStation 3. More recently, the studio released action-RPG Killsquad on Steam. Tencent didn’t disclose the size of its investment, simply explaining it will “take a stake” in the company under the terms of the investment agreement.
